Indeed. I go to the table on Monday. We'll see what happens. Wouldn’t be a bad idea to find out how many others they’re trying to bring back before hand. Already did my research. Of the 5 that quit, 1 came back. I am the last of the old realm.

I believe they know it too.
As I said before - State your terms, make damn sure going back is worth your time to even do it and don't give an answer immediately. They may try to pressure you into giving an answer on the spot, don't fall for it. If they really want you back that badly they'll give you the time you want to decide and if need be, do remind them they asked you to come back, you didn't apply for a job in this case.
If you happen to notice it's all being recorded in any way, either by video, audio or even a combination of it.... Beware and be careful like a mofo.
If anyone involved is "In" the meeting on a conference call, the same caution applies. Of course you know that but doesn't hurt to have a reminder.
In any case, good luck.

not sure about the US, in Canada if the conversation involves only 2 people, one can record the conversation without telling the other.
the moment you have more than 2 people involved, all have to know and accept it being recorded.
If this is the case (and they want to record it), have a second recording going of your own... too easy these days to edit and redact parts of meetings.

It depends on where you are.
For example, here (Bama) I or anyone else can do it without telling anyone else regardless of the number of people involved as long as I'm part of the conversation itself.
If I just sit and record but say nothing that's not legal, the one doing the recording must be part of the actual conversation taking place or it's invalid. If I were to be heard in the background being asked to go get something and answering to one that's involved or maybe saying something offhand but not actually contributing/related to the conversation in some meaningful way that too is invalid.
You must be part of what's being discussed/the topic of what's being talked about while it's being recorded - That's how it is where I am by law that I'm aware of.
However since this isn't being done here, all I can say is watch yourself, your words and your back.

In NY you can't record without disclosure and everybody's consent first, otherwise it's not legal.

OK, so here's the deal. It looks like I'm the field supervisor now. Responsible for scheduling, property inspections, and making sure the crews do the job correctly and on time. Package was give and take. Hourly wage, averaging about 10k more than I made salary last year, 2 weeks paid vaca, unlimited personal time, company vehicle. This is just for the green season. Winter season will be discussed at a later date. Not perfect, but pretty easy. We'll see what happens.

Unlimited personal time and a company vehicle is rather nice. I never seen unlimited personal time offered anywhere before.

In my eyes, this looks there is also some "paperwork" involved to perform that. But yes, if it is a smaller crew to look after, hope it works well.

Must agree, it's obvious they needed someone NOW for the upcoming season, that could change once the cold stuff returns. I do hope it's worth it for you, at least it's a bump in pay from what you had and it's not salary.

Winter isn't going to be a problem. That's what I was hired for initially when I went there. My Winter management skills excel, they even said that.
Like I said, we'll see. A lot of this is going to hinge on my health situation. I don't move around so good no more.

Good to hear, retirement is something that changes your way of life and usually for the better in some ways, in other ways it's not so great but the big bonus is you don't have to take any shit like you used to. On your own schedule for whatever - I know some folks actually say they are busier after retirement (Probrably because they are "Available") but that's not been the case for me. Stay active with something so you don't get bored and just live it, you have the time for whatever now - It may not be a literal "Eat and sleep like you want" kind of thing but you don't have to go by a schedule based on work at least. I'm thinking you'll be better off than I with what you have and I certainly hope so.

Congratulations Scotty. I wish the very best for you and your family. Now you have to take extra good care of yourself. You have to stay active my friend. I got a treadmill and exercise bike and resistance band set to keep my body going. Retired guys get really sick if they just sit around watching tv and sleeping too much. Our bodies are used to working every day. You are now one of the retired bunch.

So Scotty, are you thinking of moving out of the freeze zone now? Carolina's maybe?? Betcha he's already been on it and the Carolinas do get it regularly each year - Just not as much of it. I know N.C. gets it without fail each and every year, S.C. gets it's share of it too and being where it is and how weather patterns work here I'd have to say they do too BUT the biggest concern out of either one comes later...... As in a Hurricane paying them a visit. They seem to catch it but good everytime one goes up the coast OR goes NE from the gulf.

Lol. What if I told you my ex employer is courting me to come back and run dispatch for them for the winter season. Seems they have a problem getting people in place at the right time during the storms. Funny, I never had that problem.
Amateurs.
