Wasn't happy with my 32M result, so re-ran it today. Ground / E5630 @5345 / Corsair 2000c7 @ 2036 6-7-5-20 / Rampage 3 Extreme / Water / 6:37.797 Without proper cold, there is nothing left in this CPU, I tried for at least an hour but couldn't get any tighter / higher settings past a couple loops. Pic of monitor don't cut it. masterfloppa Yes - This is the standard across any comps I've ever been in and it's also the standard at the bot. If you can't get your machine to take a screenie with the print screen button and then make it appear in paint with CTRL+V, then get and use this: www.analogx.com/contents/download/System/capture/Freeware.htmIt's what I use all the time for my screenies. You may have to set it to run as an "Administrator", you will if it's used for anything Win 7 and later. It takes a shot of the entire screen as a .png but you can edit what it gets in paint to a .jpg no problem. Open it, rightclick on the tray icon to configure and set the hotkey for taking the shot while it's running. When it's running, just hit the hotkey you set for it - Done.

Hay wait a minute, the sr2 is technically not x58 lol. Nice board BTW. If it's not X58, what is it? Looks like he means it has the Intel 5520 chipset. The board actually has 2 chipsets it looks like one is a 5520 and the other is ICH10R. Page 10. www.evga.com/support/manuals/files/270-WS-W555.pdfBut since it's 1366 pins, each socket, still considered X58 I believe. I'm not sure the differences in the 2 onboard chipsets, but I imagine one is the NB and the other is the SB. However, nothing in that PDF confirms the letters (word?) X58.

Being as strict as possible, there is no X58 chip on the SR-2, as X58 is specifically the IOH, so it's not technically X58. But I'd not hesitate to call it X58. It behaves like it, you just have two QPI links. Still have the 1366 socket and overclocking, that's = X58 to me. Honestly at a cursory glance the Intel 5520 looks more similar to X58, than its SB does to ICH10R. www.intel.com/content/dam/www/public/us/en/documents/datasheets/5520-5500-chipset-ioh-datasheet.pdf

X58 and 5520 are basically the same with the major difference being the (obvious) existence of the second qpi on Intel 5520.

technically right, but the SR2 is generally known as a dual socketed X58... for the matter of this competition it was fine as there are no actual Dual X58 boards (that I've ever seen) that are not 5520 chipset. No wrong doing in non equalized HW in the comp.

to be technical, sure, no argument with that. but for the nature of this comp, it was fine.
