Been there, done all that myself. It does take effort, sometimes more that I care for it to.
However if you're gonna do it, you gotta deal.

Years ago, I was at my neighbors house. He loved overclocking his stuff. Boards covered in Vaseline/sealers. He's married to a very beautiful woman. Well one day we are having some coffee in the kitchen while he's stacking motherboards in his wife's dishwasher. Mind you how I said "his wifes". LOL. Well she walks in the kitchen door from shopping. All of a sudden she didn't look so pretty anymore. She looks at her loaded down dishwasher, looks at me and then at him. "What the fuck are you doing??" she says. Get that shit out of my brand new dishwasher. And by the way, what the fuck are you cooking in my oven that smells like that?" She looks thru the oven door glass........................"are you fucking kidding me???........REALLY?? I thanked him for the cup of coffee and went home. I think she beat the hell out of him. ROFLMAO

I fucking hate overclocking Mrs is not too impressed either Well at least you tried it. Thanks for being a part of the team even though it was short lived. Keep in touch though! (IM KIDDING!!!) I did all that when my wife WASN'T home. That's the trick to it. What she doesn't know, won't put you in the dog house. My Uncle was a big train guy. N scale I think it was. He'd pop the basement window and sneak in his trains in the middle of the night. HAHA. That old fucker. I miss him man. His name was Tom. One of the actual US hippies you read about that traveled across the country on rail. We still have his guitar that he traveled with. All men go through this, does not matter what the hobby is. Just gotta outwit the wife, that's all.

She doesn't mind really. Its done now. Just got to put the bastards back together again now and hope they work. Truth be known , we don't actually use the dish washer for anything else . My Mrs washes everything by hand . The oven is another matter , she is not impressed with that . Got to dry them somehow mind .

When I do my board I have it set for a temp that's below 100c to keep it all within spec for the components. In fact I can keep it below 90c so I know it's not exceeding specs for any components on the board. I'll set the oven for 170f/84c and let it go for about an hour after the oven has reached temp. Once it's been there for about that long I'll just cut off the oven and let it sit with the door still closed for awhile so the drying process is extended for at least a good 20 minutes longer. Then remove, make sure they are back to room temp and go from there.
That's how I do it in a nut's hell.

Same here Set the oven to about 100 , switch it off and put the cards in. Do that a few times and job done. Just put the 1070ti back together and it's working fine. The AIO Evga is going to be a pain .

I'm suprised the caps didn't "Go Off" and make the both of you shat your pants. I had that happen when I was trying to get rid of a reject E8600... Cap explosions are damn scary. Board died, CPU survived, runs hot af now and does good fsb still...

Just took the CHV-Z board out of the oven after a drying session for more FX stuff later. I'm hoping I've got enough Ln2 left but if not, I know how to take care of it.

Caps are scary, i was testing my Asus A7M266-D Was going through Xp install was listening to some music. and then BANG BANG BANG all of the input filters blew , dropped my drink and ran, sounded like a shootout. soon realised what it was and shut the board off and recapped it as it had shot cap juice everywhere.
