Wasn't too happy with the FTWK Z290 so just bought a cheapo Asus board on fleabay . There is not much Z270 around . I dont know what it was but impossible to get decent timings or speed on the Dark . The 7350 is a peach so hopefully this goes better .

What is "cheapo Asus board" ?
Sometimes a fast set of E-Die goes better than B-Die.
Have you tried any Micron?

Going for bandwidth, loosen the timings. Most modern benches will like the bandwidth over tight timings.
If you are aiming for PiMod or PiFast short runs, you keep the tight timings and slower frequency. Geekbench will enjoy the bandwidth instead. Timings will matter less with that benchmark.

Heads up on the E-die, holds WR memory frequency. Consider a kit for sure at some point.

Just stripped it down and the hole centers are different from every other card I have played with including the previous 2080ti KPE. None of my water blocks will fit although the TEK 9 fat will fit when I get the bottle to use DICE. Luckily the phase change fits like a glove . Just had to pop out to get an AM4 water block from PLE so hopefully this will do. Chiller on CPU and phase change on GPU , not what I planned but what can you do.

Phase is not less dangerous. Not DICE or LN2 but still...

Hey George Didn't go so well with the phase change so sent Vince a message so I can get a pot that fits . Can't be arsed putting it back together again because it was a mission stripping it down . I'm having fun running CPU at the moment . Appreciate any advice you can give me buddy .

My "weak" point is that I never found the balls to put vga's on cold.
It is not lack of knowledge. Not any different than any motherboard, which I do blindfolded.
I just can't overcome the psycological part of 0.0001% of killing a vga that costs 1000 euros and upwards.
Same with LN2. Have all the peripherals needed. 4 X 50L Teylor Wharton dewars, brand new sealed, pots, insulation materials, you name it. Thousands of $$$ sitting sealed in their boxes.
Oh well.

No, I am definitely not.
Our Team has remarkable benchers ( who are actually a lot more than benchers ). They are laboratory engineers, with vast knowledge, that I do not have. Macsbeach98, Bullants, Bones are some of those remarkable people. Apologies to those I forget at the moment.

I'm way behind those two and others myself, I can do certain things but I'm more or less a niche bencher. I have things I do well, just not all around and definitely NOT a 3D bencher by any means or even by delusion of imagination.
And it's not like you're doing bad yourself - Keep going!

Indeed. Most everybody here has their own special niche. Mine is the what you would consider ancient hardware.

Indeed. Most everybody here has their own special niche. Mine is the what you would consider ancient hardware. Mine is cooling mods and de-lidding. I think TEC is my favorite source for sub zero and zub ambient temps. Benching is a side gig to the above. I got into colder and colder. I did LN2 before Dice cooling actually. Also love the older hardware like Scotty. Legacy is mod city. These days, put a pot on it, push some volts. One of my favorite achievements was hitting 4ghz with a 6400+. Still 1st US so far. Pete came in 2017 and took team record around 80mhz faster. Impressive! Man to think all the cold bugged chips I've had lol. All of anything I've learned has been from this team and solely from this team. There is not a better team out there. 1st place was taken from individual movement from one team to another. Was not earned the right to be in first place. Was only handed over by some people I won't name at this time. But that's a big time deal for some of them. It's all good. They are still only second to none.

I run a few bunches at 4800 and it didn't really help the scores bud Obviously not on that board , on the dark hero . 4000 CL 12 0r 11 seems to work better on geekbench
