Just wanted to slap a couple of older FX screen shots here that portray well beyond 3000mhz HT frequency. I never did get into much benching with HT speeds this high, I'm wondering if any of you have gotten HT speeds up this high. FX-8300 FX-9590

Never tried. There is no evidence that it helps in any benchmarks.

Never tried. There is no evidence that it helps in any benchmarks. I killed the memory controller on the FX-9590. It'll only do single channel memory. That was at about 4.2ghz HT frequency and somewhere around 1.5+ volts. Didn't do the HT thing much after that.

HT itself doesn't do anything really - It may affect how fast your drive/SSD works but that's about it, if that. I've had mine up at least to 3600 before in a comp you held and that's where I get that from..... But again that was a long time ago too.

I found that running HT and NB together gave the best performance but above 2600 didn't do much. So I always tried to run them both at 2600. Some chips won't run at 2600. Those that do seem to run smoother.
