HT itself doesn't do anything really - It may affect how fast your drive/SSD works but that's about it, if that. I've had mine up at least to 3600 before in a comp you held and that's where I get that from..... But again that was a long time ago too.
I found that running HT and NB together gave the best performance but above 2600 didn't do much. So I always tried to run them both at 2600. Some chips won't run at 2600. Those that do seem to run smoother.

zila1: When I first moved in the basement was quite smelly. Now it smells clean and tidy down there.
Aug 10, 2022 16:37:06 GMT -5
zila1: It's not that big a deal to keep up with. It's when you have a lack of maintenance that the issues arise.
Aug 10, 2022 16:35:40 GMT -5
zila1: Every house I have ever had had sump pumps. It is a necessary evil here. Best safety feature any house could have. It's just a matter of maintenance. Mine will be a very good system. Pits have to be cleaned once a month.

austin86: Hopefully you get your setup fixed Zila1
Aug 10, 2022 12:23:11 GMT -5
austin86: I would never buy a home that needs a sump. oh the horrors of the home I grew up in. The basement was always flooded or wet or stinky form the sump.
Aug 10, 2022 12:15:15 GMT -5
zila1: Just another one of my many projects here at my new home. I had a flood once at my old house and I don't want to go thru that again.
Aug 10, 2022 10:44:19 GMT -5
zila1: That should keep water off of my foundation. The old setup just dumped the water right out and down onto the side of the house. That's a big no no. I want that water taken away from the foundation.
Aug 10, 2022 10:43:12 GMT -5
zila1: So I will go from 1 1/2" out to the side of the house and then that with a freeze relief kit into a 4 inch flex pipe along the side of the house. 25 feet out to the front yard.
Aug 10, 2022 10:41:59 GMT -5
zila1: So I'm redoing it all myself. I just ordered a new sump pump. I am going to run a above ground 4 inch flex discharge pipe along the side of the house with a freeze relief kit on the 1 1/2" pipe.
Aug 10, 2022 10:40:43 GMT -5
zila1: I'm wondering if maybe the discharge pipe froze up one winter causing it to back up into the basement. I don't know anything at this point just guessing.
Aug 10, 2022 10:37:29 GMT -5
zila1: Someone came by and cut the discharge pipe and just redirected it to the sink. Obviously, there was some sort of an emergency down here in the basement. The water must have backed up from that pipe back into the basement.
Aug 10, 2022 10:36:32 GMT -5
zila1: Isn't home ownership fun? Today I am trying to figure out why the previous homeowner had the sump pump discharge rerouted into the utility sink instead of out to the side of the house.

ShrimpBrime: Yeah, you guys are probably right. I'm gonna do that. For the time being I tried the Razor Viper 8K2. It's smooth and all that, but it's smaller. It lacks features. Mamba it is!!!
Aug 9, 2022 16:46:01 GMT -5
austin86: I like the old MS intellimouse. But it sounds like you need to find anther Razor mamba.

zila1: If you liked that mouse that much another type or brand may not suit you. If you can find another one, I would get it. Maybe two more if you can swing it and put one away.
Aug 7, 2022 20:05:58 GMT -5
ShrimpBrime: Any suggestions, or should I just get another of the same mouse? I did get a lot of years from it....
Aug 7, 2022 17:51:51 GMT -5
ShrimpBrime: I dislike my new mouse. Need suggestions. Was spoiled for a long time with a Razor mamba tournament edition. The mouse wheel has 4 buttons on it's own, I liked the side to side page scroll feature it had. The lazer wigz out occasionally.
