I would of thought it would of gone higher than that. Has it got NB voltage in the bios ramp that up a bit.

I will try that when I get the package I got coming from Scotty and run it with chilled water and try the NB voltage cause I have seen some do 465 with 1.5v and I hit a barrier at 440 I put the mem at 2.1v I try to keep it under 1100mhz I had issues with it crashing above that not sure what it is maybe cause I let the mobo set the timings not sure

This is just me, but if I've seem to hit a FSB wall and my CPU temps are good. That's when I start to increase DDR Voltage, if I've bumped it up bu 0.2 to 0.3v and it didn't help. Then I put that setting back and then start bumping up the NB voltage.
If after 0.2 to 0.3v that doesn't get me going. Then I return the NB Back to where I started and I increase both NB and FSB Voltage together 2 steps (what-ever the MB increments are) at a time until my new FSB Freq step takes.
That's my process, I'm sure some of the other guys here may have a better one, speak up and help me as well

I'm referring to the Memory Voltage and the NB Vcore.

so NB Vcore I have set to 1.45v so far I guess I should go up to to 1.55v

Make sure you got a fan on the NB.

Post by Shadyreaper on Nov 28, 2016 23:51:03 GMT -5
yea I put a fan on that blowing on that and the ram I will have to re position it when I got the water blocks on them I think I am gonna take the heat sinks off NB and SB and repaste them so I know I am getting them cooled good
Edit I am glad I took it apart cause the paste was dry as hell lol

Stock paste doesn't usually cut it with high volts.. also how did you get to 1.45v? oddly enough, sometimes too much causes you issues as well.. it's weird.

Don't know how the N/S HS are attached if using pushpins pickup some nylon or fiber washers with the same hole dia. as the mounting holes and put a couple on the backside of the board to add a little extra mounting pressure worked wonders on my P5E.

I put new paste on them thank god the NB was solid and didnt even wanna come off the NB or heat sink I used a razor to get it off without scratching the NB or heatsink and those setting are weird 1.25v 1.35v 1.45 and 1.55v I dunno why it does that and the FSB termination voltage I have never seen that setting before either

Core 2 Cpu's dont like more than 1.4 term and is well known to be dangerous as in death. NB if it being cooled good higher volts will help your overclock and mem stability.

ok so never take the term voltage over 1.4v with core 2 cpus got it lol I dont wanna fuck shit up thanks for that tip I would have been messing with that next lol I just put new paste on the NB and I always put a fan blowing on it and the ram on my gigabyte n650sli-ds4l I mounted a mini fan right to the NB and SB lol I hated the way that board was tho the heatsinks didnt wanna stay on and wobbled and I wasnt the only one that said it was a issue either

3mm nylon screws and nuts are the trick you just have to tighten them down evenly. Scotty swears by em

I have a street pickup that I'm proud of... I know its old as it only has 4 legs but man is it comfy.... Attachment DeletedHas all the creature comforts for height, pivot and rocking... Attachment DeletedI have it setup in the garage and it's the perfect height for my work bench... looking forward to using it... I also pickled up a propane heater for the garage... tested it today. outside was about -5 Deg C, and with the heater on after about 30 min the garage was +15 degrees C.. not too shabby. I'll have to pickup a spare propane tank. Vin

Vin good stuff vinnie, roller wheels, swivels, tilts and a good foot rest, they dont make like that good now man... im lookin around for another chair too , this one is sinkin on me pete picked up a cracker of a chair a couple of months back, he posted a pic of it too, i have 1 of those outdoor gas heater ones, i cut the neck down so it wasnt too high, lit her up and the house was warm in no time, trouble is the 9kg gas bottle lasted 1 day and at $22 a refill is gettin a bit exe lol but certainly warmed things up

ya, the reported usage on my 9kg tank on this heater (if I keep it on high) is 4-5hrs while maintaining 20 degrees C in a 2000sq/ft room... my garage is under 400sq/ft.. so I hope with a full tank it would last a year. or a winter at least.
I saw pete's pics of his chair. she's a nice one... my office desk chair is sinking too... need to get a new one of those... or find a donor bottom.

just looked across the stree coz its rubbish throw out and pick up day, saw an old pc case so i went lookin, was an old dell case , looked a bit further into the pile and theres a thermaltake armour full tower case, the was a asus sabertooth P67 mobo box next to it and my pulse started to rise lol, there was asus board in it but turns out to be a P5K not the sabertooth, 4 sticks of ddr2 800 ram, gskill the heatsinks for the gskill are there so hes taken them off and 2 transcend sticks, and a E6600 cp in the socket dunno if any of it is a worker yet but ill find out soon enuff ....p5k powers up but no boot, click click, short somewhere, took the 4 pin plug out , cpu fan and gpu fan start up then shut off, tried 2 diff cpus , ram same deal, oh well, guess thats why it was chucked lol, ill have to use brads old trusty P5WD again for 775 in the OSIBS, i got nothin else left www.asus.com/Motherboards/P5K/the case is the silver 1 in the link when you scroll down, its the VH6000 silver not black www.techpowerup.com/forums/threads/thermaltake-armor-va8003bws-black-full-tower-enthusiast-case-49-00-after-a-rebate.45782/page-2

great pickup shades, hope it all is a goer, thats why i love goin to the tip, especially if me mates on duty, i can scrounge thru and not get busted , its a disposable world now. when was a kid, we used to go to the tip, mum had 5 , dad was a jerkoff and all over the country, she is the culprit now for my thing thru necessity of those times 50+ yrs ago for going to the tip to get hardware ...free, as long as you dont get busted
