Shane you still got that laptop drive with the crushed lid? I want it to use the male power plug to get 3.3v to power up the controller on a Zombie card. The only place you can get 3.3v easily from power supplies is the 24 pin plug or a sata power plug. When I come on Saturday I will grab it hopefully.

I like the sound of the i5 with the cracked screen. the cracked screen 1 has the centrino and vista in it pete, the other satellite pro is the 15.6 or 5 screen with the i5 and w7 in it, both are bios password locked, the cracked screen one works tho with an external monitor, the i5 works on its own

damn man I think its just my mobo I dont think it like C2D too much hope to get a X38 soon that should fair better then the P965 jas----theres horses for courses man, but i do know this , there sprinters, theres intermediates and theres stayers, what suits some doesnt suit others, ive been lucky with both the p35 and this 45 board, im sure scotty, pete or 1 of the boys will explain it to ya, i cant coz i dont know meself properly yet, i know some boards like different cpus for fsb clocks, ive got/had 35, 45, 38,48 chipsets and ive killed all of em in the past, overclockin does that, that i can honestly assure you of, sooner or later 1 will die, and as i found out, ....usually happens in succession when it does happen

lol man I have burnt up many of CPUs and mobos in my day back then tho I had so much hardware I had a whole room full of the shit I went through a many AMD cpus back then I even turn one on without a cooler on it just to see what would happen lol that is how much shit I had 10 years ago

IMO hardware being burnt for no reason is a no no, too easy to forget and burn just overclockin , i usually write on a piece of paper what it does on what board in the cpu packet so i know where im at with it to start , in my experience ive found good ram, strap/ settings are the key, even with a basic cpu and board thats a little overclockable you can get half decent results out of it

like I said this was 10 years ago and I hard so much hardware I couldnt even take all of it when I moved and when I did I still filled a room almost to the ceiling with boxes full of stuff I had at least 30-40 P2-P3 CPUs and the same with AMDs a lot of it was unusable but I never ended up going through it all I left it when I moved from there cause I had no where to put it all back then 775 was top of the line Q6600s and stuff were coming out back then people just gave me their old PCs it was crazy how much stuff I had now it hard to find old PCs like that people just dont give that stuff up anymore lol or they send it to the scrap yard which is where a lot of stuff ends up

Motherboards its horses for courses. 45nm yorkfield Quads the Gigabyte EP45-UD3P/R is the board to have. All other Core 2 I prefer the X38/X48 Asus boards. For 533 bus Celerons Asus Commando. They are my choices. There are other chic boards out there like the Biostar Tpower i45 they can bus clock high and are renowned for it but I dont think there times for the speed are fantastic. DFI 775 boards usually go good and there are some Great runs on the Bot with them. Your Board still should go alright Shady. hwbot.org/hardware/motherboards#key=p5b_deluxe

Your Board still should go alright Shady. hwbot.org/hardware/motherboards#key=p5b_deluxeyea it goes great with the celly D 347 and P4 521 but for some reason I hit a wall I ended up at max voltage on cpu with the E6320 and couldnt get it to go no more and the temps were good it seemed like to me it never went over 70c ever the E6600 was just too hot for some reason its gonna need chilled water which I will be working on a system to do that later this week I have a X38 that is on its way and should be here weds thursday at the latest so I should have everything set up by this weekend to do some runs I am gonna prob run the P5B Deluxe for 800 FSB and lower cpus and run the X38 for 1066 and up the P5B Deluxe runs great with the lower FSB CPUs either that or I just aint setting the ram right cause once I hit 439 FSB with the E6320 it BOSD everytime even when I maxxed out the voltage to 1.64v this SS had the speed stepping still on I turned it off and it still wouldnt go best I could get
