This is a card with an additional PCIe-to-AGP bridge-chip to convert PCIe signals to and from AGP signals, right? Could be this have made a difference whether it is "allowed" to be overclocked. One thing to try is some of Gigabyte's OC Guru utility, if that case that is supported. Does it pick up AGP 8x correctly, if not, maybe worth to check that aux power feed works on the card.

Just mod the clocks with RBE I dont know why you havent done it already I would use 3D06 for testing. I use 3D06. Modded the bios with RBE, flashed, no post. Only modded the high clock states. Nothing else. Even 1 MHz increase results in no post. Doesn't make sense to me. The flash goes just fine. No issues. Flash back to stock bios, posts again. WTF

Acting just like my Nvidia 5950 Ultra AGP does - Any increase in MHz results in a crash. However I can edit the BIOS and set a different default speed and it goes but any attempt to increase it again results in the same.
Haven't figured this one out myself but then again it been forever since I've ran it.

Almost had it with this card. Shouldn't be having this much trouble. Not like I'm a noob at this or anything. I will ebay it and find another.

Bought an XFX HD4650 this time. We'll see how this one goes when it gets here.

XFX card showed up today. Works and overclocks as it's supposed to. So it WAS the Gig card that was the problem after all.

Never had a problem with a Giga card, not that they kick ass but have never ran into one that wouldn't OC.

I think the Giga card came out of a pre-built. Had a weird locked bios on it. Never had an issue with any card like that one.
