My last boat. Had to give it up due to divorce. Had 88 hrs. on it. 454 powered. Did an honest 61 miles an hour with a half a tank of fuel and two people on board. Exhaust was loud as a mutherfucker. lol Pic is not mine, but boat was exactly like this.

Sounds like your boat was a badass Scotty. I've never had a boat of my own. My brothers did and I played with those once in a while but I really am much more comfortable on land. And those damned things are expensive as fuck to maintain.

Sold my dad's wooden 23 footer motorboat a couple of weeks ago. An one-off design that may dad ordered from an experienced boat builder. This boat now been on land a few years, since he passed. A buyer showed up, and we made a deal.
Picture below show a very similar design. Our had mahogany deck, oak bows, ash tree ribs. 3-cyl 1700cc petrol engine.

Sorry to hear you had to let it go but still better than just having it sit and rot away.

Correct. That is what I think too and also the buyer do.
I will manage with the four smaller fiberglass boats and a wooden row boat that I have, for the time being.
