Seriously, amazing how some can re-construct a working mini engine of those old engine designs. Did not see any smoke or fumes though..

Look, what I found ! 20 year old me (around) with my R5 Turbo. A bit painful to think over, as much time has passed as I was when the picture was taken. Look, how much hair I got !

Now this is a piece of history, well known here (Bama) and within the AMC community at large. I knew a guy that had one but that was years ago (Late 80's), it did have the original drivetrain and such in it but it wasn't in the best of shape either at the time. www.javelinamx.com/javhome/copcar/alabama.htm

Edit: Twisted axle tubes. I used to order rear axles for the tuners all the time when I was a parts guy back at G.M.. G-body cars were super popular with the performance crowd back in the 80s.

I was a Buick Regal guy. I had an '82 with a 350 crate in it and an '87 with blue printed 3.8 vin code 7 and blue printed Corvette tranny and frame and suspension work. The '87 would get up on one rear tire off the line. When it hooked watch out.

The one with the walnuts really tripped me out man.
The one with the car that fell off the rack.......I have seen that many times when working at the dealership. Some cars just don't wanna stay up there.

$250,000. Lawd!
When my brother was a wrench we would have several of these parked at the side of the house waiting for my brother to do his magic on them. They were a dime a dozen back then. Wow!
